We will be hosting six committees, including: The Ad-Hoc Committee of the Secretary-General, The 1,500 Mile Raid: Historical United Nations Security Council on Israel-Tunisia, 1985, There is No God, Only Ho Chi Minh: Viet Cong Guerillas of South Viet Nam, 1960, The Enemy of my Enemy is My Friend: Pakistani Military Government, 2001, Miami Vice: The Undercover Operation to Dismantle Miami’s Cocaine Cowboys, 1982, and The Meaning of Is, Is: The Senate Impeachment Hearings of President Bill Clinton, 1998.

The mission of FIUMUN to engage college students with some of the most pressing issues that face our world today. Through hosting Model United Nations conferences, our organization immerses students in a diverse and challenging academic environment that sharpens their speaking, analytical writing, leadership, and team-building skills. This year’s FIUMUN will explore the various thematic interpretations of the Rule of Law in a post-WWII society. Throughout the weekend, we will examine the principles of access to justice, legal certainty, proportionality, equality and non-discrimination, and transparency. FIUMUN will challenge the boundaries of the Rule of Law as we know it.
